Sorry, that might cancel out the compliment… It sounds good.īut then when I go back into Premiere and try to change the speed of the video clip things go wrong, of course. So I send the audio to audition and shorten it to :04.97 so there is a touch of room at the end. In this particular case I need a 6 second read to fit in 5 seconds without visible cuts. That of course is not always the case, so I am forced to make things as perfect as I can. My client’s spokes person is famous enough that everything is perfect in one take. That is what I use Audition for most of the time. This entire thing would not be a problem IF Adobe would give Premiere the Stretch and Pitch process from Audition. Just in case you missed this one Adobe- Dynamic Linking is broken… The signature selling point of your Creative Cloud apps is a mess and does not work. I am having to close the project in Premiere then reopen it repeatedly to get the changes made in Audition to register in Premiere’s timeline.Ĭome on Adobe, just integrate the nest of all your programs into one program then Dynamic Linking can die out. Then magically after saving things in Audition, Premiere actually saw the earlier changes.Īnd that is of course part of this problem. I did not change the clip length at all, my small change was to raise a section of the clips audio by. Note that the “new” version without the spike seems shorter. My fix is either to cut it off or today to make a small change to the audio in Audition and save it again. Not everyday, but enough that it is a pretty annoying quirk of this workflow. This is another thing that has been going on for years. The audio comes back to Premiere with an audio spike that is just NOT in the original audio nor in Audition: Why Adobe doesn’t add this to Premiere is a total mystery to me… But their collective heads are somewhere else it seems as problems like these are ignored completely for YEARS…īack on track now. So I send the sections to Audition where I can use the Time and Pitch filter, it works great.

Plus cutting out small pauses makes a mess of the timeline with a ton of small audio clips. As I have stated before the speed change in Premiere is laughable most of the time, the results are horrible. I am sending chunks of audio to Audition for speed changes and cutting out small pauses.

This is yet another failure of Dynamic Linking, I believe.
